"Learning through Play."

This phrase represents a crucial theme we are currently embracing. For 75 years, across all genres—drama, variety, news, sports—we have pursued "why?" and "what's interesting!" We are deeply committed to leveraging TBS's creativity and entertainment power in learning environments, and with this strong conviction, we fully embarked on our edutainment business last July.

■ What if AI could change classes? "AI for School" Demo Experience

We have developed "AI for School," an AI learning support tool that utilizes news content, an asset of TBS affiliate stations (JNN 28 stations), as learning material. In the "Demonstration Research Project for Generative AI Specialized in the Education Field to Solve Educational Issues such as Enhancing Learning" commissioned by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology in FY2025, we conducted trials in 6 municipalities and 13 schools nationwide. Over 90% of the children responded that it was "more interesting than usual," and teachers also commented that they "would like to use it in actual classes." At the TBS booth at EDIX, we will offer a demo experience of "AI for School." We sincerely hope that teachers on site will have the opportunity to experience it firsthand.

■ Leading figures in the education industry and TBS will pose questions. The answers will be at the venue.

Education industry leaders such as Hiroshi Suzuki, Kiyomi Akita, Yuichi Kudo, and Kazuhisa Toriba, along with TBS personalities like Ayaka Ogawa and Jane Su, will seriously discuss topics ranging from AI utilization to inquiry-based learning and the issues facing Japanese education. A total of 8 talk sessions will be held over three days on a special stage at the TBS booth. We look forward to seeing you there!

■ Comment from Tomoko Kumanomido, Executive Officer (Content for Edutainment Business Commercialization)

This EDIX will be our first opportunity to directly meet, discuss, and connect with municipalities, schools, and educational stakeholders nationwide for the future. We believe that the power of edutainment moves people's hearts and initiates new learning, and we will continue our efforts in this direction. We sincerely look forward to welcoming all schools and educational stakeholders from across the country.
