Tokyo Tatemono Co., Ltd. is pleased to announce that the grand opening*1 date for "minanoba Kawaguchi" (Kawaguchi City, Saitama Prefecture; hereinafter "the Property"), the second property in its community-focused commercial facility series "minanoba," has been set for Thursday, September 17, 2026.

Tokyo Tatemono launched the new community-focused commercial facility brand "minanoba" series in 2025 and opened the first property, "minanoba Sagamihara," in Sagamihara City, Kanagawa Prefecture, in March 2025.

The Property, the second of the series, is located in Kawaguchi City, Saitama Prefecture, which has a population of over 600,000*2 and continues to develop as a bedroom community near Tokyo. The area surrounding the Property is a residential zone with detached houses and apartment complexes, exhibiting high needs for daily shopping, dining, and service functions within walking or cycling distance. Furthermore, the Property faces the prefectural road "Daini Sangyo Doro," providing excellent accessibility by car.

The Property aims to be a highly convenient facility loved by the local community by compactly assembling a supermarket, retail stores essential for daily necessities, dining options for casual eating out, and clinics to support the health of local residents.

● Background of Community-focused Commercial Facility Development

With an increase in dual-income households, particularly among child-rearing families, there is a growing need to use time efficiently while balancing work, housework, childcare, and nursing care. In addition, the establishment of hybrid work has increased the time spent at home. Along with the expansion of e-commerce, a portion of purchasing behavior has shifted to non-store visits, resulting in a relative increase in time spent around residential bases. Furthermore, with the aging society, securing shopping opportunities for the elderly, who have mobility constraints and are unfamiliar with e-commerce, has also become an issue. Against this background, demand is rising for community-focused commercial facilities that compactly and one-stop provide daily necessities and services, not only around stations but also in locations within walking and cycling distance from residential bases and along main roads.

● About "minanoba"

Concept and Origin of the Naming Under the concept of "living infrastructure" where daily necessities and services are available in a one-stop setup, the brand aims to offer friendly and highly convenient commercial facilities tailored to local needs. The name "minanoba" means "a place shared by everyone" (mina no ba in Japanese), expressing a friendly atmosphere that anyone can easily visit. It embodies the wish that the facilities will blend into the lives of the residents, be loved as indispensable facilities, stay close to the town, and grow together with it.

Origin of the Logo The design expresses the diversity of visitors and the variety of things and experiences provided at the facility through the arrangement of shapes of different sizes. In addition, in the blank space, the letter "M" for "mina" (everyone) and "B" for "ba" (place) gently emerge as a symbol, representing that the facility is a comfortable place for everyone with diverse spaces. The gradual change in green tones symbolizes the image of growing people and towns.
