Tamurakoma Co., Ltd. (Osaka HQ: Osaka City, Tokyo HQ: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; Representative: Kiyoto Hori) has sponsored a portion of the fabric used for costume production at the "DEAR ME 12th Fashion Show," held by the non-profit organization DEAR ME in Manila, Philippines, on Saturday, February 21, 2026.
Background and Motivation: "If our fabric can be of any help"
As a textile trading company founded in 1894, we have handled a wide range of products starting from textiles, including fabrics, materials, fashion products, sundries, and construction/industrial materials.
In recent years, we have also begun supporting the next generation of children as part of our social contribution activities.
We resonated with DEAR ME's vision of "a fair society where everyone can equally dream and be passionate," and since they required the fabrics and materials that are our strength, we decided to sponsor a portion of the fabric for costume production for the first time, with the hope of being of some help.
Overview of the 2026 DEAR ME Fashion Show
The 2026 DEAR ME Fashion Show marked the organization's first global expansion across three countries: the Philippines, Cambodia, and Japan.
The fabric provided by our company was primarily used as material for the costumes worn by children in the Philippine show.
Giving Shape to Children's Dreams
The costumes for the show are created primarily by Japanese university students and volunteers based on the designs of "future dreams" and "admired outfits" drawn by the children.
From firefighter-inspired costumes to colorful dresses and mermaid-themed outfits, DEAR ME leads the realization of children's ideas. The activity is driven by the desire to let children experience the joy of free self-expression through the fashion show.
We are pleased that our fabric has contributed to such activities.
