【April Dream】
〜 Kaitai illuminates the future 〜
Tamiya Home Co., Ltd.'s dream is to transform over 9 million vacant houses nationwide from "someone's problem" into "the future of the region," increasing the number of communities filled with the smiles of children who will shape the future.
And to completely refresh the image of the demolition industry, continuing to embody "Kaitai illuminates the future" throughout Japan.
Tamiya Home Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Tokorozawa City, Saitama Prefecture; Representative Director and President: Akihiko Tamiya) is working to solve the social issue of vacant houses through its demolition, real estate solutions, and renovation businesses.
Our dream is to transform over 9 million vacant houses nationwide from "someone's problem" into "the future of the region." And to create the future through "kaitai" and realize a society where children can live with peace of mind. We will not stop moving forward until this slogan, "Kaitai illuminates the future," becomes widely known and the social image of "kaitai" changes.
■ Background to Realizing the Dream
In Japan, the number of vacant houses now exceeds 9 million, continuously setting new records (Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications, 2023 Housing and Land Survey). This number increases by 510,000 units in each five-year survey, and as long as the declining birthrate and aging population continue, this number will keep rising.
Neglected vacant houses can be called "negative assets" that spoil the landscape, pose crime prevention and disaster prevention risks, and cause communities to lose vitality. This is not "someone's household problem" but a structural issue that society as a whole must address.

On the other hand, the demolition industry has a deeply rooted negative image.
"Scary," "destructive," "don't want to get close"
——However, we are convinced that demolition work is not like that.
"Kaitai-ing" vacant houses leads to crime prevention and disaster prevention.
Removing dilapidated buildings creates towns where children can walk safely.
And by performing demolition work, the land is reborn as a "positive asset," and new lives begin.
That's why we don't write "解体" (kaitai - demolition) in kanji, but in hiragana as "かいたい" (kaitai).
We imbue this word with the will to dismantle (kaitai) conventional images and open up a new future.
■ Current Initiatives Towards the Dream
For five years since 2020, we at Tamiya Home have continued to confront this reality head-on. We speak of this dream precisely because we are a company that has handled over 2,000 demolition projects annually and has stood by our customers.
By unraveling the "I don't know," "I can't decide," and "I'm troubled" aspects before "kaitai," we are also creating a system where people can consult us before a house becomes vacant, and working to prevent an increase in future vacant houses.
【Initiative ①】
Kaitai Consulting Sales
We have established a new style where dedicated sales personnel serve as "demolition concierges" and "demolition planners," carefully alleviating customer anxieties as projects progress, departing from the traditional demolition industry style where site managers also handled sales. We provide consistent support from neighborhood coordination to procedures and site management. We have created a system where those who are anxious about relying on a demolition company can take the first step with peace of mind.

Furthermore, with the addition of real estate solutions and renovation businesses, we have established a "Kaitai Consulting" style that offers one-stop proposals for land utilization, sale, and inheritance arrangements before and after demolition, even before deciding to "demolish."
【Initiative ②】
Vacant House Revitalization and Renovation Business
In 2025, we will fully launch our renovation business, which offers a third option of "revitalization" in addition to "demolish or keep." By handling everything from demolition to renovation consistently, we breathe new life into vacant houses in the region and protect the local landscape and safety.

【Initiative ③】
Athlete Recruitment and D&I Promotion
We actively promote the recruitment of current and former athletes, leveraging their "challenging spirit," "perseverance," and "teamwork." We have created a system where even inexperienced individuals can feel personal growth and achieve results through their work, leading to the birth of an energetic organization. This is the source of our on-site strength.
We are also working to promote D&I beyond the industry framework, such as holding SOGI study sessions and producing "Deaf-Friendly Site Sheets."

【Initiative ④】Social Contribution Activities
Tamiya Home communicates to its employees that "a portion of sales will be used for social contribution," building a system where the company's growth leads to social benefit and boosting employee motivation.
We continue our social contributions through donations to disaster-stricken areas, regular provision of rice to children's cafeterias, and carbon offsetting through the ownership of over 30 hectares of forest (Tamiya Forest Symphony).

■ Future Dreams
We aim for sales of 10 billion yen in 2027 and 10,000 demolition projects annually with sales of 50 billion yen in 2035.
However, these numbers are merely milestones.
How many vacant houses have been transformed into smiles in the community?
How many colleagues are working with pride?
How many more towns have become safe for children to walk in?
The accumulation of these achievements is Tamiya Home's true goal.
"Kaitai illuminates the future" – a society where this slogan is widely known and the social image of "kaitai" changes is what we aim for.
Tamiya Home Declares Three Dreams
◆Dream ① Transform vacant house issues into regional treasures
We will not let the 9 million vacant houses across Japan remain negative legacies. We offer one-stop proposals for demolition, revitalization, real estate utilization, and renovation, transforming "troublesome vacant houses" into "regional assets." By 2035, we aim to achieve 10,000 demolition projects annually and stand at the forefront of solving the vacant house problem nationwide.
◆Dream ② Change the image of the demolition industry throughout Japan
We will change the image of the demolition industry – "scary," "noisy," "destructive." Through careful neighborhood coordination, customer support by specialized concierges, and a new style of "Kaitai Consulting," we will make demolition work recognized by society as "reliable, future-connecting work."
◆Dream ③ All employees do work they can be proud of
We will create a workplace where diverse personalities and strengths can thrive – including former athletes, parents raising children, LGBTQ+ individuals, and people with disabilities. At Tamiya Home, where earning profits and contributing to society go hand in hand, we will create a future where every colleague can say, "I'm glad I did this job."

■ Thoughts of Representative Director and President Akihiko Tamiya
I became the Representative Director and President of Tamiya Home in 2020, right in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic. I inherited a company that was worth several hundred million yen, and started in a situation where no one could see what lay ahead. However, even in such adversity, I invested in "people" and never wavered in my commitment to addressing social issues. I am convinced that this became the foundation of our strong organization today.
Thanks to this, our sales growth rate from 2021 to 2024 increased by 224% (from 949 million yen to 3.076 billion yen).
In March 2026, we were selected as No. 1 in the construction sector in Japan in the Asia-Pacific High-Growth Companies Ranking by the British economic newspaper "Financial Times." However, this is merely a milestone.
Tamiya Home's vision is to "play a rainbow." Just as diverse colors maintain their individuality while forming a single harmony in a rainbow, each employee exerts their strength, and that harmony creates "plus one value" for customers and the local community. I want to create such a company. – I believe that a place where diverse colleagues can work with pride is the source of Tamiya Home's strength.
It is possible for a company to generate profits and for individuals to earn a solid income, while also contributing to society. Steadily accumulating each demolition project with integrity directly creates a social cycle. Social contribution is not something to do when you have spare capacity; it is inherent in the business itself. That is the kind of company we want to be.
