Takigawa Corporation, a general trading company for beauty, esthetic, and nail products (located in Taito-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Mutsuko Takigawa; Capital: 213.97 million JPY), established the 'Takigawa Group Scholarship Foundation' on July 15, 2025. The foundation aims to promote the prosperity of the barber, beauty, and healthcare industries and related sectors through initiatives such as human resource development. Despite being the first year, the foundation received significant interest from high school students nationwide in 2026, exceeding expectations. As a result, they successfully provided support to 12 students, which was the maximum number for the 2026 academic year. For the second year, the foundation is again recruiting for scholarships to support high school students who dream of becoming barbers or beauticians. The scholarship is grant-type (no repayment required), with a total amount of 1 million JPY (up to 500,000 JPY per year for the first and second years). Eligible applicants are high school students expected to graduate in March 2027. The application period is from June 1, 2026, to August 31, 2026. Applications are submitted by printing the application guidelines and forms from the foundation's website and mailing the required documents. The foundation also plans to conduct awareness activities through events such as symposiums and lectures, in addition to supporting human resource development and educational institutions in the barber, beauty, and healthcare industries.
