Kashiwa Takashimaya will host the "Great Gold Exhibition®," an exhibition and sale featuring over 1,000 gold products, for six days from Wednesday, May 13, to Monday, May 18. Gold's value is currently attracting significant attention, both as an asset and as a form of art. These gold statues were produced by SGC Co., Ltd., a pioneer in gold products, with Ohtani's official approval, over approximately two years. The Golden Batter statue uses approximately 1,550 sheets of gold leaf and stands about 1.9m tall (about 2.4m from the base to the tip of the bat), the same height as Ohtani. The Golden Pitcher statue uses approximately 1,450 sheets of gold leaf and stands about 1.7m tall.
