Movie "Minions & Monsters" Plush Toys and More to be Released Sequentially from August 1, 2026

Takara Tomy Arts Co., Ltd. (President and CEO: Toshihisa Kondo / Location: Katsushika-ku, Tokyo), part of the Takara Tomy Group, will release 22 types of plush toys as merchandise related to Illumination's latest film "Minions & Monsters," which will premiere in Japan on August 7, 2026. These will be available nationwide from August 1, 2026, at specialty toy and general goods stores, mass retailers, and online shops. Additionally, two types of GachaTM (capsule toys) will be released in August from capsule vending machines nationwide.

Takara Tomy Arts will offer new products in the "plush toy" and "Gacha" categories for the movie "Minions & Monsters." The lineup includes familiar characters from the "Despicable Me/Minions" series, as well as new characters from "Minions & Monsters" such as "James" and "Gooey." The aim is to create products that allow fans to enjoy the world and charm of the movie in their daily lives.

A total of 22 types of "plush toys" will be available. These include "Swaying Friends," which capture the adorable sleeping poses of the characters, as well as ball chain mascots and chain strap mascots, allowing fans to keep their "Minions" friends close and take them out on adventures. The plush toy of the new monster character "Gooey" from this film is particularly eye-catching, with its unique expression faithfully recreated. The "James" plush toy, also new to this film, features meticulous attention to detail, including his distinctive hair. Both "Gooey" and "James" plush toys stand out with their individual personalities. Furthermore, collectible "Gacha" products, offering expanded enjoyment through collection, will be released starting in August. These include a "Projector Light" in the shape of a projector that can display scenes from the movie, and "Stand Figures" that recreate scenes from the filmmaking process, allowing fans to enjoy the world of "Minions & Monsters" in palm-sized items.

In addition to popular characters like "Bob" and "Stuart" from the "Minions" series, new products featuring characters such as "Tim" and "Fluffy" will also be available, presenting a diverse cast of characters.
