Takamatsu Construction Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Osaka City, Osaka Prefecture, President: Takamatsu Takatoshi, hereinafter referred to as "the Company") has released the original vertical short drama "This Story is Semi-Fictional."

This work expresses the Company's core value of "connections between people" in the form of a "vertical short drama" tailored to modern viewing styles. Designed for smartphone viewing, this work consists of 5 episodes that can be easily enjoyed during commutes or short breaks.

[Production Background]

"Corporate aspirations" can surely be conveyed more realistically and more interestingly.

Through the book "What We Value in Our Work - 50 Moving Episodes That Stayed With Us -" (published in 2023), based on the real experiences of each employee, the Company has communicated its attitude and values towards work. What emerged from this was the "depth of relationships between people" and "earnest feelings despite clumsiness" common to all episodes.

In this drama adaptation, while preserving the "warmth" of these true stories, we have adopted the unique expression of "semi-fiction," which bridges the gap between reality and fiction by intentionally exaggerating the characters' personalities and actions slightly, thereby elevating the work to deliver "empathy" and "discovery" to a wider audience.

[Highlights of the Work]

While based on true stories, this work is characterized by humorous direction that is somewhat detached from reality. The "Spirit of Construction" that suddenly appears before the protagonist, Nakamatsu, guides her by throwing out words that hit the core. Furthermore, as Nakamatsu encounters the inexplicable words and actions of her unique senior colleagues, her values gradually begin to change. Through these depictions where reality and unreality intersect, "connections between people" are impressively highlighted.

[Story]

"My senior colleagues at this company are a bit strange."

Nakamatsu, who has just joined the company, spends her days being tossed around by her highly individualistic senior colleagues.

Amidst this, the "Spirit of Construction" appears before her and begins to utter mysterious words.

Despite a series of events she can't quite comprehend, Nakamatsu continues to face her work.

Eventually, she begins to notice the "sincere feelings towards people" behind her senior colleagues' actions.

This work is a 5-episode story born from true stories.

While the characters and expressions are exaggerated, the underlying feelings are all based on actual episodes.
