Takagi Launches "LC Touchless Battery-Powered" Faucet

Takagi Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Kitakyushu City, Fukuoka Prefecture; Representative Director: Izumi Takagi; hereinafter "Takagi") will launch the new "LC Touchless Battery-Powered" faucet-integrated water purifier, which can be installed without electrical work.

The "LC Touchless Battery-Powered" is a faucet-integrated water purifier equipped with a touchless function that allows water to flow and stop by simply holding a hand over it. By adopting a battery-powered system, the conventional need for a 100V electrical outlet has been eliminated. This removes the requirement for electrical work, making it easier to install not only in new homes but also during renovations or when replacing existing kitchen faucets.

**Development Background** In recent years, the demand for touchless faucets has expanded due to increased hygiene awareness and the need for improved household efficiency. Since its launch in April 2022, the existing "LC Touchless Outlet-Powered" model has shipped over 110,000 units and is used in many households.

However, installation required a 100V electrical outlet, which sometimes posed a barrier to adoption. To solve this problem, Takagi developed a battery-powered model that can be installed without electrical work, even when an outlet is not available. This increases installation flexibility, making touchless faucets more accessible to a wider range of households.
