Taisho University (President: Chizumi Kanda, Location: Toshima-ku, Tokyo) is holding a 'Taisho University x Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce Pop-up Store' in Sugamo from Saturday, April 25th, 2026, to Sunday, July 12th, 2026, in collaboration with the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce. Taisho University established a satellite campus in Brooklyn, New York, in 2025 and is expanding its international exchange and educational programs. This project aims to support local communities, small businesses, foster international exchange, and create educational programs. It is also positioned as a PBL (Problem-Based Learning) initiative where students actively engage in planning, store operations, and sales activities. The store will feature products from the Brooklyn-based brand 'Brooklyn Made,' as well as limited-edition items specially developed by Brooklyn-based manufacturers for this pop-up store. On Friday, April 24th, the day before the opening, an opening reception will be held with guests from the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce and designers from 'Brooklyn Made' to foster exchange and discuss the project's initiatives and future outlook.
