Taihaku Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Natori City, Miyagi Prefecture) will hold an experiential event called 'Mixer Truck Gacha' at 'Aobayama Park Days' on Friday, April 10th and Saturday, April 11th, 2026, utilizing a concrete mixer truck. While mixer trucks are indispensable at construction sites, the general public rarely has the opportunity to learn about their structure and role. This project utilizes an actual vehicle to create content that is not just for 'viewing' but for 'experiencing'.
## From 'Viewing' to 'Experiencing' 'Working Vehicles'
While mixer trucks are an indispensable presence at construction sites, the general public rarely has the opportunity to directly experience their structure and role.
In this project, an actual mixer truck operating at a construction site is repurposed as experiential content, moving beyond mere 'viewing' to 'experiencing'. It provides an opportunity for children and adults alike to enjoy learning about manufacturing and the hidden aspects of infrastructure.
## A New Idea: A 'Giant Gacha Machine' Utilizing Its Structure
A mixer truck has a structure that continuously rotates its drum to keep fresh concrete uniform. This project applies that rotating mechanism, repurposing it as a 'gacha machine' where capsules are agitated inside and dispensed from the discharge port.
While similar initiatives using models are seen in some places, experiential content utilizing an actual concrete mixer truck is rare, allowing participants to experience the scale and power unique to the real thing.
This gacha machine for the project was produced with the cooperation of Higashi Nihon Jidosha Co., Ltd. in Ishinomaki City, aiming for both safety and practicality. The image shows a test run. It was implemented after approximately two months of production.
## Creating Participation Value Through Collaboration with Local Sports
In this project, in collaboration with the local professional basketball team 'Sendai 89ERS', the first 100 participants will receive original goods as a special prize.
By designing 'reasons to participate' in addition to the fun of the experience, we aim to contribute to the overall vibrancy of the event.
