Two meanings are infused in the keyword of this festival, 'GATEWAY'.
1. A 'GATEWAY' to encounter various types of music
TAKANAWA GATEWAY CITY operates under the theme of 'an experimental ground for an enriched life 100 years into the future.' True enrichment requires cultural elements through art. We will challenge a new urban music model where the fulfilling feeling of living in the present circulates comfortably.
2. A casual 'GATEWAY' to Jazz
We want to create an entrance where people can easily step into the world of jazz. With this thought, we are holding this event with the theme of 'Gypsy Jazz,' which can be enjoyed freely and passionately.
Originating from the legendary guitarist Django Reinhardt, Gypsy Jazz was nurtured within the nomadic culture of the Romani people.
We will deliver supreme performances that you can enjoy freely while walking, holding a drink, and chatting with friends.
