Tachikawa Bus Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Tachikawa City, Tokyo; Representative: Tomo Suzuki, President and CEO; hereinafter, "Tachikawa Bus"), a member of the Odakyu Group, announces that its original character 'Nyachikawa-san' will join the company as a new employee on April 1, 2026. 'Nyachikawa-san' was created in collaboration with San-X Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; Representative: Hirofumi Chida, President and CEO; hereinafter, "San-X"), known for characters such as Rilakkuma and Sumikko Gurashi, as part of their 'Charapro Friends' character project.
In addition, San-X Co., Ltd. created and renewed the design of the EV route buses, incorporating 'Nyachikawa-san' and the traditional red and white colors of Tachikawa Bus.
The seat covers for route buses will also be changed to 'Nyachikawa-san' specifications for all future vehicles.
Tachikawa Bus will continue to disseminate information through 'Nyachikawa-san' to be a familiar local bus operator.
