Background of IVS2026 Exhibition and Side Event Co-hosting

"IVS," Japan's largest startup conference, attracts many entrepreneurs, investors, and corporations every year. "IVS Startup Market," where our company will exhibit, is an exhibition and networking space for startups that have passed screening through recommendations from VCs and prominent entrepreneurs, or through self-nomination, and serves as a place for concrete discussions on business partnerships, fundraising, and recruitment.

Frictio is a service that automatically acquires and structures the context of conversations in business negotiations and meetings, accumulating it as organizational assets. Freeing people from recording tasks and creating an environment where they can focus on the dialogue itself and subsequent actions is essential for startup management, which requires turning each business negotiation into results with limited resources. We decided to exhibit at IVS with the desire to be a tool that supports startup growth most closely.

While IVS offers various opportunities for encounters, there are also many challenges where encounters do not lead to results, such as "not being able to meet the investors we wanted to meet" or "it just ended with an exchange of business cards." The event we are co-hosting is a "results-oriented" event that designs meetings with "people you should really meet" based on pre-event interviews, rather than chance encounters. The concept of reliably connecting meetings to results is exactly what Frictio achieves in daily business negotiations, which led us to participate as a co-host.

Furthermore, our representative, Ohashi, will participate as an entrepreneur mentor, addressing participants' challenges based on his experience in entrepreneurship and management. We will support startup growth from both the perspective of service provision and the insights of a manager.

<AI Minute-Taking of Meetings by Frictio>

Frictio will be responsible for AI minute-taking of meeting content during individual meetings with VCs, CVCs, corporations, senior entrepreneurs, and experts. Not only will it transcribe conversations, but the AI will also automatically generate summaries and action items immediately after the meeting. Participants can focus on the meeting without being bogged down by recording, and smoothly transition to post-meeting follow-ups.
