Sysdig Appoints Hatem Naguib as New CEO to Lead Cloud Security in the AI Era

Sysdig, the leader in real-time AI cloud defense, announced on June 16, 2026 (U.S. time) the appointment of Hatem Naguib as its Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and board member. The former CEO of Barracuda, Naguib brings over 35 years of experience building and scaling technology platforms in cybersecurity, cloud infrastructure, and AI-powered software. Naguib joins Sysdig following the launch of the industry's first Headless Cloud Security platform, which operates inside AI coding agents to embed security directly into the tools and workflows teams already use.

Hatem Naguib's Career

Naguib spent nearly a decade at Barracuda, where his promotion to CEO saw him evolve the company into a platform-based, recurring-revenue cybersecurity business.
