◆ Research and Development Background In fields such as aerospace and defense, where a single oversight can lead to fatal accidents, methods have evolved to structure design intent and assumptions using MBSE to prevent omissions. However, such structuring efforts are currently limited to a few high-reliability domains that can afford specialized personnel. In many development sites, including manufacturing, the rationale for decisions and the underlying knowledge remain buried as tacit knowledge within individual staff members, scattered and unrecorded. There is a growing need for mechanisms that can detect oversights undetectable by reviews alone, without significantly altering daily operations.
