Synology Launches RackStation RS6426xs+

Tokyo, Japan — June 11, 2026 — Synology today announced the availability of the RS6426xs+, a next-generation model designed for growing organizations to consolidate data and support a wide range of business workloads. This system is ideal for high-performance file sharing, multi-site synchronization, and other business and enterprise applications.

High-Performance Enterprise Storage with Reliability and Security

The RS6426xs+ delivers exceptional write I/O responsiveness with up to 165,000 4K random write IOPS*1 and sequential read/write throughput of 6,700/4,300 MB/s, providing high performance ceilings for modern enterprise workloads. This 16-bay 3U rackmount system supports petabyte-class scalability and can be expanded to a maximum of 1,536 TB of raw storage*2 via four RX1225RP*3 expansion units. It features two integrated 10GbE RJ45 ports and supports dedicated block storage applications through additional 10/25GbE NICs or Fibre Channel connectivity.

To ensure high availability, the RS6426xs+ includes hardware redundancy (such as dual power supplies) and supports Synology High Availability (SHA) for minute-level failover. Hot-swappable drives and online volume expansion streamline maintenance, while out-of-band (OOB) management enables administrators to remotely troubleshoot the system even when powered off.
