HIS, NAKED, and RideVision Launch New York's First XR Tourism Entertainment 'XploreRide New York' in July 2026

H.I.S. Co., Ltd. (hereinafter 'HIS'), NAKED, Inc., and RideVision Co., Ltd. announce the launch of 'XploreRide New York produced by NAKED, INC.' (hereinafter 'the project'), an extended reality (XR)-based tourism entertainment experience, in Manhattan, New York, USA, starting July 2026.

This project is the second installment following the successful 'XploreRide Hawaii,' which launched in Honolulu, Hawaii in 2025 and has since received continuous acclaim. Set in one of the world’s leading entertainment cities, New York, this initiative delivers an immersive tourism entertainment experience unlike any other.

Additionally, RideVision Co., Ltd. and HIS signed a memorandum of strategic partnership in May 2026, aiming to create new tourism value through the fusion of real and virtual experiences. This project is positioned as a flagship initiative to accelerate the co-creation of innovative tourism entertainment and its global expansion.

A New Cinematic XR Ride Experience: Blending Real-World New York with XR Visuals

The experience features passengers boarding a double-decker bus and traveling through Manhattan’s iconic skyline, enjoying a synchronized, immersive journey where real-world cityscapes blend seamlessly with real-time computer-generated (CG) visuals.

Powered by RideVision’s proprietary technology, high-precision visual effects are synchronized with the bus’s speed and GPS location, merging physical space with digital content to deliver a groundbreaking tourism entertainment experience.

The theme of the project is 'Freedom.' Aligned with the 250th anniversary of American independence in 2026, 'America250,' participants will embark on an adventure guided by the 'spirit of the Statue of Liberty,' uncovering hidden 'stories of freedom' across Manhattan.

As the journey passes landmarks such as Bryant Park, the New York Public Library, and Times Square, guests will enjoy diverse XR experiences, including time travel to the 1880s, immersion into famous paintings, integration with Broadway-style performances, and interactive battle sequences.

Future Outlook

The companies plan to accelerate the global rollout of XR-powered tourism and entertainment experiences.

In February 2027, they aim to launch the world’s first XR cruise experience in Nihonbashi, Tokyo. Expansion into untapped international markets, including Europe, the Middle East, and Asia, is also under consideration.

Furthermore, the companies will promote collaborations with Japanese intellectual properties (IPs), such as anime, games, and characters, to create a global ecosystem where Japan-originated XR ride entertainment can be enjoyed worldwide.
