HAKU by SWAG, an art and installation project by the creative team SWAG of Unity Corporation, is presenting the exhibition 'Resonance' at Art Area B1 as part of 'Osaka Art & Design 2026', running from May 27, 2026 (Wed) to June 23, 2026 (Tue).
With only one week remaining until the exhibition ends, 'Resonance' visualizes and makes experiential normally imperceptible forces—such as natural wind, ambient noise, and the structural framework of urban infrastructure—through materials like ribbons, mirrored sheets, wire, video, and vibrations.
Art Area B1, the exhibition venue, is an art space located on the B1 floor of Naniwabashi Station on the Keihan Nakanoshima Line. The station's entrance, designed by architect Tadao Ando, features a curved glass block structure with integrated LED lighting, creating an artistic spatial experience.
The location also allows visitors to appreciate the urban landscape and architecture of Nakanoshima alongside the 'Resonance' exhibition.
This exhibition is not meant to be viewed passively from a distance. Instead, it is an immersive installation where visitors physically move through ribbons, become enveloped in reflections, and sense vibrations and shifting shadows with their bodies. We invite you to experience this dynamic interplay of data and materials, stillness and motion, nature and artificiality during the final days of the exhibition.
Exhibition Concept: The 'Resonance' Between Invisible Forces and Matter
'Resonance' is an attempt to manifest invisible energies present in natural and urban environments as an overwhelming physical spatial experience.
Past environmental data, low-frequency vibrations, and subtle air fluctuations—what happens when these resonate with inorganic industrial materials like ribbons, mirrored sheets, and wire? How does the space transform?
Through bodily experiences such as seeing, walking, pushing through materials, and being immersed in reflections, the exhibition aims to heighten awareness of environmental forces and urban structures that are usually overlooked.
