PRESSTONE Launches PA Business "PLX", Expanding Acoustic Support Domain Utilizing Expertise in Music Production and Immersive Sound

PRESSTONE Ltd. is pleased to announce the launch of its PA business brand, PLX (PRESSTONE LIVE CROSS).

Background of PLX Launch Since its establishment in 1993, PRESSTONE has developed a sound-centric business, including music planning, production, recording, mixdown, music event planning and production, live operation, live music streaming, and immersive sound production and recording. In addition to our Tokyo headquarters, we have established a production and recording environment utilizing our own studios at our Osaka office/branch studio and Tokyo office/grid studio.

PLX, which is being launched this time, is a business brand aimed at further expanding PRESSTONE's accumulated knowledge in music production, recording, live operation, streaming, and 3D acoustic design into the PA (Public Address) field at live event venues.

Acoustic Support Provided by PLX While PRESSTONE's PA department has individual achievements in live music, fashion shows, lectures, ceremonies, talk shows, and live recordings, under the new brand PLX, we will provide comprehensive acoustic support from sound design and equipment planning in the planning stage to setup, adjustment, and operation during the actual performance, thereby advancing multi-layered support for a wide range of venues.

Future Outlook PRESSTONE has immersive sound production environments at both its Tokyo and Osaka bases, and performs 3D acoustic design and mixing not only for music works but also for video works, gallery spaces, and event space direction. At PLX as well, by utilizing this knowledge, we will aim to implement a more three-dimensional and immersive acoustic experience in addition to the conventional stereo-based PA.

The name PRESSTONE LIVE CROSS embodies the idea of supporting sound-related fields from end to end while crossing over music planning and the field, production and technology, recording and live performance. Moving forward, through PLX, PRESSTONE will provide reliable acoustic operation at live event venues and comprehensive acoustic support that looks ahead to production, recording, streaming, and immersive sound.
