[Background and Objectives]

Tokyo University of Science invites lecturers from various industries and job roles to deliver lectures for international students considering internships, employment, or research in Japan. The lectures cover general overviews of Japanese companies and industries, as well as the communication skills required in the workplace.

In our lecture, as a company supporting Japan's water infrastructure, we explained global and domestic water issues, the scope and role of water business, plant engineering, and public-private partnerships, aiming to deepen students' understanding of Japanese industries and corporate activities.

[Event Highlights]

Due to the typhoon's impact, the in-person session became unfeasible, and the lecture was swiftly transitioned to an online format. Despite this change, all 15 participating international students attentively engaged with the lecture.

In addition to business-related content, the lecture also shared essential mindsets for working at Japanese companies and key points for job hunting, supporting students aiming for internships or employment in Japan.

We engage with students across all age groups, from elementary to university level, with various departments offering learning opportunities based on their expertise.

Recently, enhancing Japan's industrial competitiveness and cultivating science and engineering talent have become socially critical issues. The government's "Integrated Innovation Strategy 2025" emphasizes strengthening research capabilities, talent development, and innovation ecosystems. In this context, private companies providing practical learning opportunities to educational institutions play a vital role in helping students connect specialized knowledge with real-world society.

As a company operating in the water treatment sector, the Watering Group will continue leveraging its expertise to support education and contribute to the career development of future generations.
