SWCC Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Kawasaki City, Kanagawa Prefecture; Representative Director, CEO, President: Tetsuo Oyata; hereinafter "the Company") has begun sales of 'Hatomeru,' an application designed to support work environment management for workers operating in extreme heat conditions. This app was co-developed with Golden Field Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Hachimantai City, Iwate Prefecture; Representative Director: Rikuya Kanano), a company specializing in emergency and medical application development.

Background of Development

With the increasing frequency of extreme heatwaves, heatstroke-related workplace accidents are on the rise. Additionally, due to stricter regulations and heightened corporate awareness of safety, there is growing demand for enhanced safety management systems. In manufacturing and construction sites, in particular, it is a critical challenge to accurately assess individual workers' working environments and proactively prevent risks associated with extreme heat. In response to these challenges, the work environment management app 'Hatomeru' has been developed.

About Hatomeru

'Hatomeru' is a system that enables real-time monitoring of a worker's work environment by using a small heart rate sensor attached to the arm or other body part, connected to a smartphone or similar device. The system analyzes heart rate and other biometric data to assess the user's condition.

Features and Components of Hatomeru

- Utilizes a proven program with field-tested experience in detecting heart rate changes

- Sends alerts based on heat index (WBGT values) and changes in heart rate

- Allows both users and managers to monitor workers' work environments

- Employs sensor devices with high measurement accuracy and reliability

- Supports safety management for workers operating in remote locations

- Enables historical management of biometric data

Current Initiatives and Future Plans

'Hatomeru' has already been introduced within the SWCC group companies and will be widely deployed to customers. The company will continue to create new value and contribute to building safer and more secure work environments.

* This application is intended to support work environment and safety management for workers and is not designed for the diagnosis, treatment, or prevention of heatstroke or other medical conditions.
