The protagonist, Makoto Itou,
first saw Kotonoha Katsura from the neighboring class
at the beginning of the second semester.
It wasn't that he wanted to date her,
or that he wanted her to notice him.
Just being able to watch her from afar
made his day feel a little better.
He didn't really believe in popular charms or anything...
One day, Sekai Saionji, who sat next to him,
saw a photo of Kotonoha on his phone's wallpaper.
After making her promise not to tell anyone,
Makoto suddenly found himself being cheered on by Sekai.
It felt somewhat like a strategy,
and his ordinary, cloudy days suddenly began to take on vivid colors.
The plan progressed smoothly.
