SusPla (Sustainable Plastics Initiative) (Location: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; hereinafter "SusPla"), an organization aiming to expand the recycled plastics market, has begun recruiting for a full-time Operations Leader/Assistant Manager to strengthen its business operations in the circular plastics sector. We are looking for individuals who wish to engage in work with a high degree of social contribution and help realize a sustainable society.
◆ Background of Recruitment
SusPla is a new organization established in July 2024 and incorporated in April 2025 with the goal of expanding the recycled plastics market. Our membership has already exceeded 160, including plastic resource circulation-related businesses, as well as manufacturers, trading companies, research institutions, and public agencies from a wide range of industrial sectors such as automotive, home appliances, chemicals, machinery, and textiles.
Currently, the material recycling rate for all plastic waste in Japan remains at approximately 20%, and it is said that the amount of plastic recycled and reused domestically is less than 10% of total waste. To improve these figures, SusPla is working on the dissemination of certification systems that contribute to ensuring the quality and stable supply of recycled plastics, the promotion of collaboration between waste management and manufacturing industries, and the resolution of issues related to the utilization of recycled plastics. We have decided to begin recruiting personnel as our business expands.
◆ About the Position
The position we are recruiting for is an Assistant Manager role, responsible for organizational operations and the plastic resource circulation-related tasks conducted by the association. You will not only handle administrative tasks such as daily progress management, external communication/coordination, and document preparation, but also take charge of a wide range of duties, including advanced project-based business and secretariat operations, with the goal of becoming a manager in the future.
