Sustainable Plastics Initiative (SusPla) (Location: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, hereafter 'SusPla'), an incorporated association aiming to expand the recycled plastics market, has started recruiting a Business Leader / Assistant Manager (full-time employee) to strengthen its business operations structure in the circular plastics field. We are seeking individuals who can contribute to the realization of a sustainable society by engaging in business with a high degree of social contribution.

## Background of Recruitment
SusPla is a new organization established in July 2024 and incorporated in April 2025 with the aim of expanding the recycled plastics market. Already, the number of members exceeds 160, and manufacturers, trading companies, research institutions, and public administrative organizations from various industrial fields such as automotive, home appliances, chemicals, machinery, and textiles are participating, along with plastic resource circulation-related businesses.

Currently, the material recycling rate of all plastic waste in Japan remains at about 20%, and furthermore, the amount circulated and utilized domestically is said to be less than 10% of the total waste amount. To improve these rates, SusPla is working on popularizing a certification system that contributes to ensuring the quality and stable supply of recycled plastics, promoting collaboration between arterial and venous industries, and solving issues related to the utilization of recycled plastics. With the expansion of our business, we have decided to start recruiting personnel.

## About the Open Position
The position being recruited this time is a role to handle organizational management and the plastic resource circulation-related operations conducted by this association as an Assistant Manager. Rather than being limited to administrative tasks such as schedule management of daily operations, external liaison/coordination, and document creation, you will take on a wide range of duties including advanced project-type businesses and secretariat operations, while aiming to become a manager in the future.

## About SusPla
The Sustainable Plastics Initiative (SusPla) is an organization established in July 2024 and incorporated in April 2025 with the aim of expanding the recycled plastics market through material recycling that contributes to quality improvement and stable supply.

In addressing various issues in expanding the recycling of plastics, responses through the organic collaboration (fusion) of arterial and venous industries beyond the size of management foundations and conventional business practices are required. In this context, leading Japanese recyclers, brand owners in a wide range of industrial fields such as automotive, home appliances, chemicals, plastic molding, and textiles, manufacturers, trading companies, as well as universities, research institutions, support organizations, and local governments are gathering (forming a multi-stakeholder partnership) to promote efforts toward building a 'Plastic Resource Circulation Ecosystem based on Material Recycling originating from Japan'.
