SURF Music and Shingo Sekiguchi Announce Winning Entry of "Recollection" Remix Contest

SURF Music, a digital marketplace committed to "Bringing Power Back to Music Creators" by allowing music creators and labels worldwide to share unreleased tracks and foster the discovery of new talent and monetization for creators, is pleased to announce that 'Recollection (Cosmicosmo Remix)' by Cosmicosmo has been selected as the winning entry for the "Recollection" remix contest, held in collaboration with Shingo Sekiguchi, guitarist / composer / producer belonging to origami PRODUCTIONS.

The winning entry, "Recollection (Cosmicosmo Remix)," rebuilds the original song's dreamy texture and comfortable groove with Cosmicosmo's unique electronic sensibility into a nostalgic soundscape that evokes a sense of longing. It was highly praised for its rich chord progressions, intricate sound design, and urban, immersive worldview, and was released for streaming on Wednesday, April 8th.

This work is a collaboration where new talent discovered through the contest across borders gave a new story to Shingo Sekiguchi's music, and it will also be officially included in the album 'tender Remix.'

It was truly a dream to have the opportunity to remix Shingo Sekiguchi's music. His approach to guitar and composition always amazes me. For this remix, I wanted to further enhance the image I felt from the original song. It feels like listening to calm music while riding the Yamanote Line after a long walk on a cold day, watching the city flow by outside the window like a scene from a movie. Shingo-san's music is very dreamy, and I am truly honored to have had the opportunity to add my own arrangement to his work.
