SUPER MARKIT Inc. (Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo, Representative Director: Shinya Akiyama), whose mission is to "change the world with humor," has participated in the production of the "that era"-style suspense drama "Tomochika Suspense Theater II: The "Hatsuyuki" Limited Express Murder Case," in cooperation with Filmest TV.

The release date for this work, which is currently in editing, has been set for July 17 (Fri.) at 9 PM, and a "Final Trailer" that delves into the full story has also been produced.

While retaining the "that era" feel of the previous work, the latest installment has been scaled up with a豪華 cast. The trailer offers a sneak peek at the new film.

Furthermore, following the release of the film in July, "Special Screening Events" will be held in four cities nationwide (Ishikawa, Tokyo, Osaka, and Aichi). Tomochika, the lead actress, and director Koki Nishii will appear at all events. In addition, at the Tokyo event, co-stars Shigeyuki Nakamura, Masaya Katsuya, and Naomi Matsui are scheduled to join them. These events will offer a special time to enjoy the world of the film with the audience, featuring commentary on the highlights and behind-the-scenes stories.

Thoughts on "Noto" Behind the Production and Special Screening Events

The previous work, "Tomochika Suspense Theater I," surpassed 4.98 million views on YouTube (as of the end of June 2026). Fans visiting for "pilgrimage" to Ehime Prefecture, where it was filmed, increased significantly, and sales of "local products" introduced in the drama doubled, greatly contributing to regional revitalization. As a result, it received the "Special Jury Award" at the 15th "Location Japan Grand Prize," an unprecedented achievement for recognizing the popularity of filming locations and the works themselves.

In response to the question, "What can 'Tomochika Suspense Theater' do to bring positive news and smiles to filming locations?" the decision was made to set the stage for the latest work in Nanao City, Ishikawa Prefecture. Filming took place with the warm cooperation of the people of Nanao City starting in April of this year.

The special screening events are intended to express gratitude to the people of Nanao and Noto who supported the filming, and with the hope that "the buzz around this work can contribute even a little to recovery," the tour began in Nanao. Furthermore, a portion of the revenue generated from the special screening events in Tokyo, Osaka, and Nagoya will be donated as relief funds for the Noto Peninsula Earthquake.
