'The Promised Neverland' will be adapted into its first full-scale musical in winter 2026 as a special performance commemorating the 10th anniversary of its serialization.

'The Promised Neverland' is a popular comic by Kaiu Shirai (story) and Posuka Demizu (art) that was serialized in 'Weekly Shonen Jump' from 2016 to 2020. Large-scale media mixes such as TV anime and live-action films also became a hot topic, and the cumulative worldwide circulation exceeded 42 million copies, making it a popular work not only in Japan but also in various countries around the world. To commemorate the 10th anniversary of its serialization in 2026, the first full-scale musical will be staged this winter.

The creative team for this work will be the duo of Kouki Kishimoto and Ryota Kojima, who have worked on numerous musicals such as the musical 'Kiki's Delivery Service,' the musical 'Disney's Winnie the Pooh,' 'Shrek the Musical,' and 'School Idol Musical.'

Furthermore, child actors for this production will be publicly recruited through full auditions. Today, in 'Weekly Shonen Jump' released on April 6th, an announcement was published stating, "Can you also become Emma and others!? No experience required! Seeking outstanding child actors who can embody the original characters!" recruiting several male and female cast members, mainly for Emma, Norman, Ray, Don, Gilda, Connie, and Phil.
