Singer-songwriter Yoshiko Hanzaki held her 9th-anniversary concert, "HANZAKI Chorus Festival 2026," on April 5, 2026, at Yomiuri Otemachi Hall in Tokyo. This event marked the first "Chorus Festival" format for her anniversary, conceived as a culmination of her long-standing chorus activities nationwide. The concert was divided into two parts. The first part was a piano live, where Yoshiko Hanzaki, celebrating her 9th anniversary, performed six songs from her latest single "Shiroho" to "To," accompanied by pianist Mitokatsuyuki. The second part, the chorus festival, featured 123 students from three schools: Kansai University Elementary School Chorus Club, Saitama Prefectural Kawagoe Girls' High School Music Club, and Tokyo Metropolitan Fuchu Nishi High School Chorus Club. They performed special chorus arrangements of Hanzaki's songs, including "Chikyu e" (featured in elementary school music textbooks), "Obento Bako no Uta ~ Anata e no Otegami ~," "Sakura ~ Sotsugyo Dekinakatta Kimi e ~," and "Asu e no Josou." Yoshiko Hanzaki has consistently stated that "songs are not completed alone but grow in someone's life," and has included chorus scores in her singles, conducted chorus activities nationwide, and given special classes at schools since her debut. She expressed her vision that "my songs become someone's voice, and when those voices overlap, feelings are carried to places they couldn't reach alone." This day marked a new beginning for her, with a new dream of an annual "Chorus Festival Tour" where people can sing together across various locations. Her new album, "Utoben 5," is set to be released on April 22, followed by the "Chikyu e" concert tour 2026. Additionally, a collaboration concert tour with Yomiuri Shimbun, "Jinsei Annai to Watashi vol.3," will commence on September 12.
