Saitama Prefecture, Nagatoro Town: Sensory Onomatopoeia Play and River Fish Catching Experience! Dive into Nagatoro's Rich Nature with Your Family During Golden Week!

Socioak SEED BASE Nagatoro Genki Plaza (designated manager: Sun Amenity Co., Ltd.) will hold a residential experiential event, 'Gather Genkikko! ~Let's Get Excited in Nature!~', from May 5th (Tuesday/Holiday) to May 6th (Wednesday), 2026, for children from preschool to second grade elementary school and their guardians. This program allows families to enjoy 'authentic nature experiences' that are rarely available in daily life, such as rainbow trout catching, forest walks, and drawing on giant paper, amidst the fresh greenery of Nagatoro during Golden Week.

This project was created in response to parents' concerns that 'children have fewer opportunities to play freely in nature recently.' Especially for toddlers and lower elementary school students, sensory experiences are crucial for emotional and curiosity development. Nagatoro Genki Plaza aims to transform Nagatoro's rich nature into a 'playground,' providing a place where children can maximize their intellectual curiosity by catching fish with their own hands and enjoying 'onomatopoeia' to describe the sounds of wind and earth. We support families in creating unforgettable memories while prioritizing safety.

■ Challenge! 'Rainbow Trout Catching'
The main event on the second day is catching rainbow trout in cold water. The experience of catching fish with one's own hands and grilling them on the spot, then eating them with gratitude for life, will be deeply etched in children's hearts from the perspective of food education.

■ Unleash Creativity! 'Onomatopoeia Game & Giant Drawing'
After expanding imagination with the 'Onomatopoeia Game' to describe sounds and sensations in the forest, everyone can freely draw on giant paper! This dynamic expressive activity, which cannot be done at home, nurtures children's individuality.

■ Guardians also Refresh! 'Parenting Support Lecture'
