Invitation to Sun-Earth Fest (Advanced Sorting Tour & Telehandler Test Drive) May 22 (Fri) in Chiba Prefecture

Sun-Earth Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Minami-Oi, Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo; President: Hiromi Nakagawa; hereinafter "the Company"), which proposes, imports, sells, and services advanced industrial machinery from Europe, will hold the "Sun-Earth Fest (Advanced Sorting Tour & Telehandler Test Drive)" on Friday, May 22, 2026, at the Sun-Earth Sorting Lab (SSL) in Futtsu City, Chiba Prefecture.

This will be the second time the event is held. Last year, despite it being the first year of the SSL's opening, we welcomed many visitors. This year again, you can take a thorough look at our test center, the SSL, which realizes the "4S Concept" – four important processes for advanced sorting – through demonstrations. Additionally, we will have telehandlers from the French company MANITOU, which we began handling last year, available at the venue for test drives.

The Sun-Earth Fest will be held in conjunction with the NEW Environmental Exhibition, which takes place from Wednesday, May 20 to Friday, May 22 at Tokyo Big Sight. While our company will also be exhibiting there, the Sun-Earth Fest offers an opportunity to see numerous machines that cannot be displayed at the exhibition hall, all at once in a setting closer to an actual work site.

A shuttle bus service from Shinagawa will be available on the day of the event.

Furthermore, a representative from the German company STEINERT, the manufacturer of the KSS combination sorter equipped with a transmissive X-ray sensor installed at the SSL, will be visiting Japan. You will have the opportunity to ask them questions about overseas case studies and other topics.

The telehandler, which will be available for test drives, is a piece of work machinery gaining attention in many industries such as construction, port cargo handling, forestry, and industrial waste processing. It is widely used in Europe and Australia as an indispensable machine on site. By attaching various accessories to the end of its telescopic boom, a single unit can handle a wide range of applications, including transporting loads, lifting, and working at heights. We have prepared the compact telehandler MT625 and the medium-sized telehandler MT930.

Introduction to Sun-Earth Sorting Lab (SSL)

The Sun-Earth Sorting Lab (SSL) is a demonstration and testing facility for sorting machines for metal scrap, ASR (Automobile Shredder Residue), industrial waste, and incineration ash. We have a variety of high-performance sorting machines from leading European manufacturers, primarily from Germany. The facility is equipped to realize the 4S Concept recommended by Sun-Earth.

Stream Management: Ensures a constant, stable flow rate on the line to stabilize the operation of downstream equipment.

Screening: Maximizes the capacity of downstream equipment by sorting materials into appropriate particle sizes.

Segregation: Improves advanced sorting accuracy by separating materials based on physical properties, such as light/heavy, magnetic, and 2D/3D.

Sorting: Advanced sorting using sensors to produce high-quality recycled resources.
