Since 2010, Summit has been collecting PET bottle caps at its Summit stores, selling them as resources, and donating the entire proceeds to the certified NPO, Japan Committee, Vaccines for the World's Children (JCV). On April 6, we donated the proceeds of 1,523,106 yen from the sale of caps collected over the one-year period from March 2025 to February 2026. Thanks to the cooperation of many customers, this is the 15th donation, and the cumulative donation of approximately 9 million yen has been used for vaccinations in developing countries.

How the Vaccine Donation Works

JCV works in partnership with UNICEF to order vaccines and send them to supported countries such as Myanmar and Laos. The donations are used to purchase vaccines and equipment for storing and transporting them in refrigerated or frozen conditions.

Fun Participation at Summit Stores

Summit stores collect PET bottle caps year-round, but in June and November 2025, we held the 'PET Bottle Cap de Smile Big Mission' to make participation more enjoyable for customers. Each store devised its own unique ways to call for customer cooperation, resulting in the collection volume for those months being about 1.5 times that of the previous year.

* Some stores do not conduct in-store resource collection.
