[Godo Kaisha Suminasu] A week of enjoying different perspectives. GENIUSLAB 2nd Anniversary Event "GENIUS FES2026" to be held (4/29-5/5)

Suminasu LLC (Headquarters: Saga City, Saga Prefecture) will hold "GENIUS FES2026," an event centered around an exhibition of over 350 works by 31 affiliated artists, from April 29th (Wednesday, holiday) to May 5th (Tuesday, holiday), 2026, to commemorate the 2nd anniversary of the opening of its art hub, "GENIUSLAB." GENIUSLAB is an atelier-integrated gallery and experimental facility for 'GENIUS,' an art-specialized Type B employment support service that transforms the inherent characteristics within everyone into talent, providing an environment where they can work as artists, based on the philosophy, "Everyone is a genius. It's possible." During the exhibition period, in addition to the artwork display, various workshops and art experiences enjoyable for both children and adults will be held on multiple days in collaboration with various guests. This event is being held to express gratitude for reaching our 2nd anniversary and to convey our journey to the local community. ■ Event Overview ⚪︎ Event Period: April 29th (Wednesday, holiday) - May 5th (Tuesday, holiday), 2026 ⚪︎ Venue: GENIUSLAB (1-7 Gofukumotomachi, Saga City, Saga Prefecture) ⚪︎ Admission Fee: 1,000 yen (Free for junior high school students and younger) ⚪︎ Content: Exhibition of works by 31 affiliated artists ◾️ Programs during the exhibition period ① April 29th (Wednesday): Life-sprouting mud dumpling making workshop Held in collaboration with Saga City's Daiichi Horticultural Center (Location: Saga City, Saga Prefecture). Participants will create "growing art" that can be cultivated at home by topping familiar "mud dumplings" with vegetable seeds. ⚪︎ Time: 10:00 - 16:00 ⚪︎ Participation Fee: 500 yen ⚪︎ No reservation required / Children can also participate ⚪︎ Creations can be taken home ② April 30th (Thursday) / May 1st (Friday): GENIUS artist production tour The production sites of artists active at GENIUSLAB will be open to the public. While experiencing the diverse collection of over 350 artworks and the creative process and atmosphere of their creators, you can feel the "extraordinary everyday" that is close at hand. ⚪︎ Time: 10:00 - 15:00 ⚪︎ No reservation required ③ May 2nd (Saturday): Drawing with animals. Art workshop The sequel to the visitor participation workshop held at Adventure World (Location: Shirahama Town, Wakayama Prefecture) on March 27th and 28th, 2026, arrives in Saga. In this workshop, participants will use "lion claws," "deer antlers," "emperor penguin feathers," and "horse forelocks"—materials not usually encountered in daily life—as brushes to draw on two large panels. By having visitors further interact with the works created on-site, the event offers an experience where the artworks "continue to change within relationships." ④ May 5th (Tuesday): "Death Cafe x MY genius" Art program for kneading views on life and death "Death Cafe" is a place to casually discuss views on life and death. In this event, participants will "knead" their views on life and death together through death and life trump cards and clay work. For three hours, without right or wrong, everyone will encounter new perspectives on "life and death" through their own senses. ⚪︎ Time: 14:00 - 17:00 ⚪︎ Participation Fee: 4,000 yen ⚪︎ Guest: Koyuu Tsuruno, Vice Chief Priest of Kakuenji Temple, Jodo Shinshu Honganji-ha Koyuu Tsuruno is the Vice Chief Priest of Kakuenji Temple, located in a rural town at the easternmost end of Fukuoka Prefecture. Since his university days, he has been involved in activities related to suicide, terminal care, and elderly welfare. He later joined the certified NPO Kyoto Suicide and Suicide Consultation Center, where he currently serves as a director. In 2018, he established TERA Energy Inc., a social good new power company. In Japan, 1 in 4 to 5 people experience mental illness. People become unable to work due to illnesses that anyone can suffer from, such as depression, schizophrenia, and panic disorder. It is said that 1 in 10 people are diagnosed with developmental disorders such as ASD, ADHD, and LD. Such familiar mental disabilities. Are you aware of the fact that there are people close to you who are isolated from society because of them? Suminasu is creating a bypass that allows such people to reconnect with society as "artists." This is a new social infrastructure and a new possibility opened up for people with mental disabilities. The flag we raise is: "Everyone is a genius. It's possible." We believe that everyone has genius within them. Suminasu does not "teach."
