ANELA KAI, which aims to create an ocean where people with and without disabilities can enjoy together, will hold the "ANELA KAI Universal Surfing Experience 2026 in Kosai City" at Shinnai Benten Beach in Kosai City, Shizuoka Prefecture, on July 19, 2026 (Sun) from 9:30 AM to 1:00 PM. The event aims to create an environment where everyone, including wheelchair users, can safely and comfortably enjoy surfing, and to promote understanding of universal surfing.
Through universal surfing experiences and beach experiences using Hippo Camp, this event will provide an opportunity for everyone, regardless of disability, to share the joy of playing in the ocean.
ANELA KAI's Vision
ANELA KAI means "Angel of the Sea" in Hawaiian.
We named it with the wish that it will be an ocean where both challengers surfing the rough waves of Enshu Nada and their hoaloha (friends) who cheer them on can receive mana (energy and vitality from nature) and have angelic smiles.
We aim to hold universal surfing events where everyone can have fun playing in the ocean.
A day when wheelchair users can play using beach mats and amphibious wheelchairs.
A day when those anxious about trying new things can play with plenty of help.
