As winter ends, the storage and care of bulky down comforters become a common concern. Beyond issues like humidity, mold, and storage space, proper maintenance is essential to keep them in comfortable condition for the next season. To address these challenges, 'Futon no Hotel™', a service that integrates premium care and storage for down comforters, has revamped its offerings this spring.

'Suimin-ya', a bedding specialty store with 67 years of history based in Sakata City, Yamagata Prefecture, has been providing 'Futon no Hotel™', a premium care and storage service for down comforters, since 2024. Professionals carefully clean customers' precious down comforters and store them in an optimal environment to maintain cleanliness and comfort. 'Futon no Hotel™' offers two plans: 'Long Stay', which includes storage until the next winter, and 'Short Stay', which focuses solely on premium care.

Long Stay

A set of professional premium care by down comforter experts and optimal storage. No need to worry about moving them in and out of closets or rental warehouses. ~Stored after cleaning until the day you are ready to use them~

The 'Futon no Hotel™' Long Stay plan involves wrapping each premium-cleaned down comforter in antibacterial gauze and storing them individually in a climate-controlled private room. Because we do not use 'compression' or 'cardboard boxes'—which cause stress to down comforters—you can use them comfortably next winter. Prices start from 18,700 yen (tax included) for the Comfort plan.
