Background

As the educational use of generative AI expands, there is a growing trend in schools for teachers to create AI tools tailored to classroom challenges and student realities, and to use them in practice. However, operating such tools continuously incurs API usage fees, token costs, and other expenses based on usage, and securing funds for operation can be a challenge for initiatives aimed at research and practice sharing by volunteers.

The English composition support tool 'DraftIA' (https://ai-eigo-lab.com/draftia/) operated and published by the lab allows students to write English compositions, receive feedback from AI, and revise and finalize their work, thereby supporting English composition learning. Teachers can check students' progress and AI feedback, enabling them to understand students' learning status and share effective expressions and improvement examples in class.

'DraftIA' (https://ai-eigo-lab.com/draftia/) is developed by active English teachers and operated as a generative AI tool rooted in classroom practice.
