(Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Satoshi Suzuki; hereinafter "Studist"), which supports the realization of lean operations, will hold a free online seminar "Why do those organizations 'Kachinokori' (survive and thrive)? - 9 Steps for Business Reform to Cut Losses and Retain Value" on Tuesday, May 19, 2026. This seminar commemorates the publication of the new book "Lean Operation 'Systematization' Textbook," authored by Keitaro Shoji, Executive Vice President. Background of the event: Why do organizational "improvements" often fail?
"We're working hard. The front lines are doing their best. But for some reason, it's not leading to the desired results..."
If this question resonates with you, it might simply be that you don't have the "map of the mountain to climb" and the "right equipment" to reach its summit.
Business efficiency, DX promotion, productivity improvement... The world is overflowing with such terms. Companies introduce the latest IT tools, receive support from consultants, and issue directives to the field. However, are the following situations occurring as a result?
* Tools were introduced, but manual work in Excel still remains. * If a specific veteran is absent, the department's operations completely stop. * Improvement activities themselves become 'additional work,' exhausting the front lines. * Despite being busy, the business is not growing.
These are all signs of "losses" that drain an organization's vitality.
In an era of population decline, to sustain an organization 15 years from now, 1.7 times the current productivity is required. It is difficult to work 1.7 times harder with human effort alone, but it is entirely possible to increase productivity by 1.7 times by changing the "system."
Seminar Overview: Learning "Realities from the Field" that couldn't be written in the book, Kachinokori's Strategy
In this seminar, Keitaro Shoji, Executive Vice President of Studist, author of the new book "Lean Operation 'Systematization' Textbook," and a leader in transforming numerous corporate workplaces, will take the stage. He will unveil 9 steps to transform an organization, incorporating "trial and error and practical knowledge from the field" that could not be fully covered in the book.
[Key points to be revealed in this seminar]
* Techniques to resolve the "problem of reliance on specific individuals" The existence of tasks that "only that person can do" poses a risk to business continuity. Transforming tacit knowledge into explicit knowledge and creating an environment where anyone can reproduce tasks leads to creating organizational capacity. Reinvesting this capacity into "creative time" such as new businesses and improving customer satisfaction is essential for realizing business growth.
* Common challenges when improvements do not progress Success stories are important references. However, by knowing the "common challenges" when improvements do not progress well, you can make your company's business efficiency and DX promotion more reliable.
[Special Project] 15-minute "Organizational Health Checkup"
In the latter half of the seminar, a "Lean Operation Diagnosis" will be conducted on the spot to assess the current state of your company's business operations.
The diagnostic results will be quantified, and an individual PDF report detailing what to tackle from tomorrow and which losses need to be eliminated will be provided as a participant benefit on the spot.
