Alpen Co., Ltd., a retailer of outdoor and sporting goods headquartered in Nagoya, Aichi Prefecture and led by President Atsuyuki Mizuno, will launch the Aluminum Unit Table +38 on Friday, May 29, along with related items, under its private brand Alpen Outdoors. The new model expands the highly popular Aluminum Unit Table series by enabling tabletop extension to the front, back, left, and right. The Aluminum Unit Table is one of the signature products of the Alpen Outdoors brand, with cumulative sales exceeding 60,000 units. Part of the tabletop can be removed to install burners or stoves, and a wide range of optional accessories allows for highly flexible customization. In addition to the existing 88 and 110 sizes, Alpen is now introducing a long-requested solo-specific size. Rather than simply downsizing the product, the new model proposes an evolved camping style through a new concept that enables expansion in all four directions. Unlike conventional models, which mainly connected laterally, the Aluminum Unit Table +38 adopts a proprietary design, with patent and design applications pending, that allows tabletop expansion in all four directions. By combining it with separately sold tabletops, users can extend cooking space forward or secure additional space behind the table, even in a solo-use format, depending on the scene and purpose. The product also emphasizes innovative portability and compact storage. Its design allows parts to be disassembled as much as possible, making it remarkably compact when stored. A revised leg-folding method provides strong portability for situations where users want to minimize gear, such as backpacking and bikepacking. The new model inherits the functionality of current models. It can accommodate slim burners, and with separately sold options, cassette stoves and single burners can also be installed. Each leg can be adjusted independently for height, helping maintain a level cooking surface even on uneven ground. Users can also customize the table with a variety of optional parts. The product is not compatible with the Water-Repellent Table Side Storage or Tabletop Rack. Product details: Aluminum Unit Table +38 launches on Friday, May 29, 2026, with sales starting at 10:00 a.m. on the official online store. The price is 7,999 yen including tax.
