Professor Ishiguro aims to realize robots with intelligent systems capable of acting in society and has developed numerous robots, including humanoids, androids, and the Geminoid, a copy robot of himself. He has received numerous awards, including the Osaka Culture Prize in 2011 and the Commendation for Science and Technology by the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology in 2015. He is globally recognized as a leading robotics researcher.
