Stamen Inc. (Headquarters: Nagoya, Aichi Prefecture, President and Representative Director: Taihei Onishi, hereinafter "our company"), which develops and provides the employee experience platform "TUNAG (Tsunagu)", is pleased to announce that the Chugoku Shimbun Group (hereinafter "Chugoku Shimbun Group"), comprising 18 companies in media, broadcasting, and staffing centered in Hiroshima Prefecture, has introduced TUNAG.
The Chugoku Shimbun Group is promoting organizational reform to respond to discontinuous environmental changes based on its "Group Growth Strategy 2032" formulated in the winter of 2024. As a partner responsible for strengthening communication and engagement among approximately 1,600 employees across the 18 group companies, we will support the creation of synergy that transcends organizational boundaries.
Background of TUNAG Introduction | Strengthening Communication and Engagement
While the Chugoku Shimbun Group has historically operated with a high degree of independence, it faced the following challenges in information sharing across the entire group:
1 Lack of a Foundation
Different IT tools were operated by each company, and there was a lack of a unified platform to deliver information to the entire group.
2 Delays in Information Penetration and Visualization
As a result, it was difficult to grasp the activities of other companies and departments.
3 Information Transmission to the Front Lines
In particular, it was difficult to transmit information in real-time to frontline staff (such as in printing factories and transportation departments) who do not have PCs.
Solving these challenges and maximizing the group's potential became the top priority for sustainable organizational growth.
Key Points for Selecting TUNAG
Among the many tools available, the following three points were particularly highly evaluated:
"Accompanying" Utilization Support System
The evaluation highlighted the expectation of reliable adoption and effect verification aligned with the growth strategy, thanks to the accompanying support from customer success, which analyzes usage status and proposes improvements, rather than just providing the tool.
UI/UX Independent of IT Literacy and Device Environment
The ability for employees without PCs or company email addresses, such as those in printing factories and logistics sites, to safely access the platform from their personal smartphones and operate it intuitively was highly praised. The feasibility of achieving company-wide information sharing, including the front lines, was supported.
Flexibility and Governance to Fit Diverse Organizations
The ability to flexibly design posting formats for various purposes, such as "Top Messages," "Department Introductions," and "Employee Introductions," along with the ability to set viewing permissions tailored to the group's specific organizational structure, was evaluated as adaptable to complex organizational systems.
Utilization Details
The Chugoku Shimbun Group began full-scale operation in April 2026. It started with approximately 1,400 accounts and is gradually expanding its scope of use.
Main Usage Scenarios
Consolidation as a Group Portal
Serves as a portal where important topics and the latest information from each company are consolidated, allowing users to easily understand "what's happening in the group."
Dissemination of "Group Growth Strategy 2032" and Communication of Initiatives
Delivers the thoughts of each company president and the initiatives of group subcommittees in real-time through videos and text.
Mutual Understanding Focused on "People"
Visualizes individuality using the profile function, creating opportunities for communication that transcends departmental and company boundaries.
Future Support
We are confident that connecting the diverse individuals of the 18 companies on TUNAG will create unprecedentedly strong synergy at this pivotal moment of major transformation with "Group Growth Strategy 2032."
Our company will dedicate all its efforts to supporting the Chugoku Shimbun Group in fostering a culture where employees can praise and challenge each other across company and site boundaries.
Comments from Chugoku Shimbun Group Representatives
Our group, composed of 18 companies including media centered in Hiroshima Prefecture, formulated the "Group Growth Strategy 2032" in the winter of 2024. This is in response to unprecedented discontinuous changes such as the declining birthrate and aging population, labor shortages, intensifying competition due to new industry entrants, and the AI shift.
One of the most important themes within this strategy was "strengthening communication" within the group. While we will also pursue innovation with external parties, we believe that collaboration among closely related group companies is the most effective way to create synergy with speed.
Initially, we considered unifying business systems, but due to the differing characteristics of operations and the degree of collaboration among each company, we decided against it, considering costs and the burden on frontline staff. Therefore, we decided to search for a tool specifically focused on "improving communication and engagement." After comparative research, including AI-powered research, we found that TUNAG was the most suitable for our group.
Although it is still early days after the introduction and effect verification is yet to come, we have received positive feedback from the front lines, stating that "the group's current status" is beginning to circulate. We have high expectations for the revitalization of communication and the creation of synergy.

About TUNAG
TUNAG is an integrated platform that promotes internal communication and information sharing, aiming to improve organizational productivity and reduce employee turnover. As of June 2026, the number of companies using TUNAG has surpassed 1,400, and the number of users has exceeded 1.5 million.
Unlike traditional engagement services that often focus on surveys, analysis, and diagnostics, TUNAG is a practical support-oriented product. With functional designs linked to daily actions such as internal SNS, awards, and system operations, it guides the resolution of organizational issues through concrete actions.
Furthermore, its design and UI, which are easily accessible to non-desk workers, achieve high utilization rates even in remote environments and for companies with multiple locations.
