Stamen Inc. (Headquarters: Nagoya, Aichi; President and CEO: Taihei Onishi; hereinafter "the Company"), developer and provider of the employee experience enhancement platform "TUNAG," announces the launch of its AI platform for enterprises, "TUNAG AX (Tunag A.X.) https://ax.tunag.ai/", starting July 1, 2026. This service aims to eliminate the "AI divide" between industries caused by shortages of specialized talent and security concerns.

The service adopts a "BPaaS (Business Process as a Service)" model, under which Stamen handles all aspects—from automation design and prompt engineering to infrastructure implementation. Customers need only communicate their business automation requirements to achieve process automation within a secure, isolated environment (a private AI infrastructure) hosted on AWS domestic regions.

Pricing starts at JPY 100,000 per month (excluding tax), with implementation possible in as little as one month. A limited-time sign-up campaign will also be held to commemorate the launch.

TUNAG AX is available regardless of whether a customer uses TUNAG. For existing TUNAG users, integration features leveraging in-house behavioral data will also be offered.

Development Background | The Growing AI Utilization Gap Amid Generative AI Adoption

According to a 2025 international comparative survey on AI usage by Nomura Research Institute, Ltd., the overall average rate of generative AI use permitted in workplaces is only 42.4%. While information and professional services industries reach 71.5%, on-site industries remain low: wholesale and retail at 35.7%, manufacturing at 45.4%, and social and public services at 36.0%.

Since the widespread adoption of generative AI at the end of 2022, the market has seen an explosion of AI tools. However, many companies report concerns such as "security risks prevent us from training AI on internal data" and "we lack in-house IT personnel capable of integrating AI into our operations (e.g., requirements definition or programming)," leading to a deepening "AI utilization gap" among enterprises.

Stamen has continuously received feedback from management and leadership in on-site industries such as manufacturing, logistics, food service, and retail, including:

- Management teams are overwhelmed by repetitive employee inquiries about employment rules and application procedures, detracting from core responsibilities

- Onboarding and operational manuals are siloed and vary by location or store

- Internal data cannot be input into external AI tools, and many companies lack even basic AI usage policies, stalling AI adoption efforts

To provide a practical solution enabling on-site operations to safely leverage AI—even for customers without AI expertise—Stamen developed TUNAG AX.

Three Key Features of "TUNAG AX"

1. Full Design and Implementation Handled by Stamen: "AI × BPaaS" Without Needing Expertise

Most AI and automation tools require users to design workflows and create prompts (instructions for AI). With TUNAG AX, Stamen leverages its experience improving operations for over 1,400 organizations to handle everything—from task automation design and infrastructure setup to prompt tuning.

The platform features a multi-tenant shared infrastructure and numerous standard templates covering high-priority on-site processes, enabling significantly faster and more cost-effective AI automation deployment compared to custom development.

[Task Automation Use Cases]

- Automatically create accounts in related systems when a new account is created in the HR system

- Automatically trigger follow-up processes in expense reporting and billing systems upon approval of a request

- Automatically send anniversary recognition messages and reminders for license or certification renewals

- Automatically notify relevant personnel of application details received via external systems

- Automatically extract notable internal news and distribute a digest company-wide

* Customizations beyond standard templates are available upon individual quotation.

2. AI Handles Internal Employee Inquiries

TUNAG AX trains AI on internal information such as employment regulations, application procedures, operational manuals, and past announcements, enabling employees to ask questions or seek advice using natural language. By having AI provide first-line responses to repetitive inquiries—such as those related to year-end adjustments, expense reporting, or labor procedures—back-office departments like HR and general administration can significantly reduce inquiry-handling workloads. The AI also supports new hires and part-time staff in situations where they might hesitate to ask questions, accelerating their onboarding and productivity.

3. Domestic, Closed-Loop "Private AI Infrastructure" That Keeps Sensitive Data In-House

TUNAG AX uses a private AI infrastructure built on AWS (Amazon Web Services) domestic regions. Customer data remains within Japan and is not used to train or transmit data to external AI models, as is common with general-purpose AI services. Data security is ensured at the infrastructure architecture level, and the platform holds ISMS certification (ISO/IEC 27001). This allows even companies without established AI usage policies to deploy an officially approved, secure AI environment company-wide in approximately one month. The risk of employees inputting business data into external AI tools (shadow AI) is also reduced.

Integration with TUNAG | Enhancing Organizational Management with Behavioral Data × AI

While TUNAG AX functions as a standalone service, it delivers even greater unique value when combined with TUNAG.

In addition to "outcome data" such as sales and attendance from business systems, AI can analyze "behavioral data" accumulated by TUNAG—including daily reports, thank-you cards, chat logs, and internal event participation history. This enables multifaceted analysis for visualizing the reach and impact of management messages, as well as advanced organizational state prediction and decision support.

Expected Benefits of Implementation

- Reduced inquiry-handling workload for management departments (HR, general administration, IT)

- Business task automation (DX) without diverting internal engineering resources

- Rapid establishment of a secure, compliant, company-dedicated AI infrastructure

- Improved staff retention through consistent onboarding

- (When integrated with TUNAG) Enhanced employee engagement by enabling AI to operate seamlessly within daily workflows

Developer Statement

Atsushi Hayashida, Head of AI Strategy, Stamen Inc.

"The AI divide in on-site industries is not a technology issue but a 'lack of translators.' While advanced AI tools flood the market, few companies outside IT-leading organizations have personnel capable of integrating these tools into their operations—someone who can define requirements, design secure environments, refine prompts, and operationalize AI.

As a former CTO in on-site industries, I've repeatedly hit this wall. That's why with TUNAG AX, we've decided to make Stamen the 'translator'—not something companies must hire for. We aim to enable any organization, even those without specialized talent, to simply say, 'I want to automate this task,' and see their operations powered by AI. We will expand this capability across all industries."
