Stayway Inc. (Headquarters: Osaka City, Osaka Prefecture, Representative Director: Jun Sato, hereinafter "Stayway"), the operator of the subsidy cloud service, has opened a branch in Kanazawa City, Ishikawa Prefecture on July 1, with the aim of correcting the disparity in support between regional and urban areas. This branch will be established as part of the company's medium-to-long-term strategy, the "47 Prefectures Local Startup Strategy," and will be the 11th location nationwide.
We aim to further strengthen collaboration with financial institutions in the Hokuriku region, promote the establishment of a tripartite support system involving municipalities, financial institutions, and Stayway, and realize a society where all businesses can obtain growth opportunities without regional support disparities.
Background of Branch Establishment
The establishment of this branch is an important step in realizing our medium-to-long-term strategy, the "47 Prefectures Local Startup Strategy," which aims to correct the disparity in support between regional and urban areas.
The "47 Prefectures Local Startup Strategy" is an initiative that aims to build a network of bases covering all 47 prefectures by 2030 and realize a support system that maximizes the potential of small and medium-sized enterprises and local businesses.
For our company, the Hokuriku region is an important area where we have expanded our business through collaboration with regional financial institutions such as The Hokuriku Bank, Ltd., which was the first to introduce our "Subsidy Cloud," and The HOKKOKU BANK, Ltd. Furthermore, in response to recent changes in the international situation and rising energy and material costs, various municipalities in the Hokuriku region are expanding support measures for small and medium-sized enterprises. In Ishikawa Prefecture, approximately 7 billion yen has been additionally allocated in the supplementary budget for Reiwa 6 (2024), further increasing the importance of support for regional businesses.
Amidst this situation, we have decided to establish a new base in Kanazawa City, one of the transportation and economic centers of the Hokuriku region, in order to further strengthen collaboration with regional financial institutions and municipalities and to build a system that can provide faster and more detailed support to businesses throughout the Hokuriku region.
Future Outlook
In May 2026, we will launch "Subsidy Cloud for Government" (※), a subsidy DX service for municipalities, and are advancing a new initiative to reliably deliver subsidy information solicited by municipalities to regional businesses through collaboration with financial institutions.
Going forward, we aim to build a tripartite support system involving municipalities, financial institutions, and Stayway. To achieve this, on-site local activities are essential to quickly grasp the needs of regional businesses and to closely collaborate with municipalities and financial institutions.
Through the Kanazawa branch, we will provide support closer to businesses in the Hokuriku region, and aiming to establish a system covering all 47 prefectures by 2030, we will work towards realizing a society where businesses and SMEs can maximize their inherent strengths and opportunities, under our mission of "Unlocking the potential of SMEs and regions."
(※) "Subsidy Cloud for Government" is a subsidy DX platform that connects municipalities, financial institutions, and businesses. It aims to resolve information disparities in subsidy utilization by sharing subsidy information solicited by municipalities in real-time with regional financial institutions and quickly delivering it to businesses.
Comment from Jun Sato, Representative Director of Stayway
Since our founding, we have been working to support businesses nationwide in maximizing their potential, with the mission of "Unlocking the potential of SMEs and regions." However, we feel that there are still differences in the information and support opportunities available depending on the region, which affects the growth opportunities of companies.
The opening of the Kanazawa branch is a step towards eliminating such regional disparities and creating an environment where more businesses can take on challenges. Furthermore, through "Subsidy Cloud for Government," which we provide, we aim to expand the tripartite support system, which involves collaboration between municipalities, financial institutions, and Stayway, nationwide.
We will continue to promote the "47 Prefectures Local Startup Strategy" and aim to realize a society where new seeds of growth emerge from all over Japan by supporting the potential and challenges that lie dormant in all 47 prefectures.
