Additionally, various islands dot the Seto Inland Sea, making inter-island commuting nearly impossible, which likely leaves some people with severe physical disabilities giving up on working. The Company promotes the employment of people with disabilities through full telework within the Staff Service Group, which provides comprehensive human resource services. We hire people with severe physical disabilities who have difficulty commuting to handle administrative processing services and associated support businesses within the group. This initiative began in Fukuoka Prefecture in January 2016, and currently, 659 people with severe physical disabilities (as of April 1, 2026) are working across 46 prefectures. Our employee workplace retention rate is 98.3% (as of June 2025), a very high standard compared to the 60.8% retention rate (*3) for people with physical disabilities after one year of joining general companies.
The Company will continue to create employment through the full telework workstyle for people with severe physical disabilities who are motivated to work but find commuting difficult, while continuously supporting their retention and success in the workplace.
