Produced by Studio View Okayama (the head office of MUSA Co., Ltd.), 'Our Grandpa' won the Audience Award Grand Prix in the short film category at the 4th Ishigaki Island Shonan International Documentary Film Festival. This work depicts family connections through the daily life of a grandfather and his grandson and their 'memories of food,' garnering high empathy from the audience.
Over the years, as a photo studio involved in many families' milestones, we have received words like, 'I'm so glad I kept this photo.' However, we didn't always fully understand the true weight of those words. It was only when facing photos of my late father and retracing memories that I realized something for the first time: photographs and films are not things that 'preserve the past,' but things that 'support our present self and light up the future.'
