STORES Inc. (hereinafter "STORES") announces the creation of a new "Generalist (Business x Technology)" position for students graduating in March 2028, and has begun accepting applications. This position targets talent capable of creating value across product, business, and customer understanding without being confined to specialized fields, while working in collaboration with AI.
Concurrently, to provide practical experience, we will hold the "STORES SUMMER INTERNSHIP 2026" for students graduating in 2028. Under the theme of "Creating the Future of Stores," this internship will challenge participants to create value using AI through two programs: Product Development and New Business Creation.
■ Background
STORES has been addressing the challenges faced by business owners as the digital infrastructure for stores, such as store operations with limited manpower and streamlining operations from customer attraction to customer management. As these challenges become increasingly complex, talent who can tackle problems from both the business and product sides while utilizing AI, without being limited to specialized fields, is more important than ever.
With the evolution of technology, the boundaries of roles and "what can be done" for each job type are changing significantly. STORES believes that what is necessary for the coming era is not just expertise confined to a specific profession, but the ability to create value by stepping into necessary areas starting from a deep understanding of the customer. Based on this idea, we have established the new "Generalist (Business x Technology)" position for the 2028 fresh graduate recruitment.
■ About the Generalist (Business x Technology) Position
The attitudes STORES values for this position are the following three points:
1. Working with Generative AI as a Prerequisite
In all work, we value the attitude of using AI as a partner for thinking and execution to achieve goals, seeking to improve the quality and speed of delivered value.
2. Stepping into Adjacent Domains
While maintaining expertise as an axis, we value the attitude of autonomously engaging across the boundaries of roles traditionally handled by specific professions, aiming to connect to greater value.
3. Thinking from the Starting Point of Value Delivered to Customers
The most important thing in utilizing technology, including generative AI, is the ability to set problems with the goal in mind. At STORES, we value the attitude of creating value by setting problems based on a deep understanding of our customers—small and medium-sized business owners—rather than just using AI or technology for its own sake.
