Danish sportswear brand hummel (Hummel) has unveiled Gamba Osaka's 2026/27 season kits. The new design features the team's iconic 'blue and black' striped pattern. Authentic and replica kits will be available for pre-order starting July 4 on the Gamba Osaka official online store, and from July 12 at Hummel stores.
Traditional Blue-Black Stripes Meet the Blue Flame
The kits, to be worn by Gamba Osaka in the 2026/27 Meiji Yasuda J1 League starting in August, inherit the club's traditional blue and black stripes, reflecting the club's theme: 'BE THE HEAT, BE THE HEART' — 'Become the blue flame, ignite excitement, and be at the center.'
The design overlays a graphic of Gamba Osaka's burning blue flame on top of the stripes, symbolizing the intense passion bursting from within the players and creating fervor in the stadium through their passionate play.
At the center of the chest is a premium polycloth crest badge, with ten stars above it representing the club's total championship titles, including the one earned in the AFC Champions League 2 2025/26. The collar features the club's slogan 'BE THE HEAT, BE THE HEART,' while the inner collar is designed with the same blue flame graphic used on the outer fabric.
Players saw the new kits for the first time during the photoshoot. Takashi Usami said, 'I like the blue and black. I'm really into this new season's kit.' Junichi Kawaguchi commented, 'The flame graphic is great.' And Shuto Abe highlighted the ten stars, saying, 'Most of all, there are ten stars!' referring to their recent ACL2 title win.
The 2nd Kit: A Quiet Spread of Flame
The FP 2nd kit is based on a white base, with a reimagined version of the 'blue and black' flame graphic from the 1st kit. By deliberately splitting the blue and black diagonally, it represents a quiet flame burning in the chest, spreading across away stadiums.
The GK 1st and 3rd kits are based on the FP 1st design, with 1st in red and 3rd in T-green, while the GK 2nd is a color variant of the FP 2nd kit in yellow.
The new kits were unveiled on July 3 and will begin pre-orders on July 4 at noon via the Gamba Osaka official online store, exclusively for annual pass members. The authentic kit starts at ¥29,150 (tax included), replica kits at ¥18,150 (tax included), long-sleeve replica kits at ¥19,250 (tax included), and junior replica kits at ¥14,850 (tax included). Orders will be available from July 12 at the official Hummel online store, Hummel Lalaport EXPOCITY, and Hummel Mitsui Outlet Park Osaka Kashiwara.

About Gamba Osaka
Gamba Osaka is a professional football club competing in Japan's J1 League. Based in Suita City, Osaka Prefecture, the club considers the northern Osaka region (Hokusei) as its home, with seven cities as its hometown. Founded in 1980 as Matsushita Electric Industrial Soccer Club, it is one of the original ten J.League clubs that joined in 1993. The name 'Gamba' comes from the Italian word for 'leg,' also a play on the Japanese word 'ganbaru' (to do one's best). The club won the AFC Champions League in 2008, achieved a domestic treble in 2014, and secured its 10th title in the AFC Champions League 2 (2025/26). After a 2021 rebranding, it aims to become a leading sports experience brand in Japan.

About Hummel
Danish sportswear brand 'hummel' was founded in 1923, becoming the first in the world to develop football boots with studs. At a time when players wore flat-soled leather shoes, hummel's innovation dramatically improved grip, enabling new styles of play. Inspired by the bumblebee (German: hummel), which despite being too heavy to fly theoretically, achieves flight through effort, the brand adopted this story for its name and logo. With a century of history, hummel now champions the vision 'CHANGE THE WORLD THROUGH SPORT,' continuously pursuing new challenges.
