This has led to an expansion of new business opportunities in renewable energy and decarbonization businesses, including non-fossil certificate trading by user companies, Corporate Power Purchase Agreements (CPPA), and FIP-utilized CPPA. Based on the "Act on the Promotion of Smooth Transition to a Growth-Oriented Economic Structure" (GX Promotion Act), the introduction of "Growth-Oriented Carbon Pricing" is also progressing, and demand for environmental value is expected to further expand. However, renewable energy businesses, which have been driven by FIT/FIP systems, are entering a transitional phase, with subsidies and purchase support for large-scale solar power generation set to be abolished after FY2027. This lecture will comprehensively explain the impact and business opportunities of various legal systems on renewable energy and environmental value businesses. Session 1 will organize the schemes for users and electricity providers to trade environmental value and renewable energy electricity (Physical PPA, Virtual PPA) and their relationships with related laws (FIP, Non-Fossil Certificates, Self-Provisioning, etc.), based on the Basic Energy Plan, Electricity Business Act, Act on Special Measures Concerning Renewable Energy, and GX Promotion Act. It will then explain the anticipated trading schemes, points to note, and associated business opportunities. Session 2 will focus on the FIP system, introduced in April 2022, explaining its details, the know-how required to start a FIP business, and Corporate PPA schemes utilizing FIP businesses. It will also propose the requirements for future renewable energy businesses and explain the new rules of the FIP system to be introduced from FY2026. *Each session is an independent lecture, and can be attended individually.* Knowledge and Practice to Grasp for Renewable Energy Electricity/Environmental Value Trading 1.
