Space Seed Holdings Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Kengo Suzuki; hereinafter 'SS-HD') announces that its CEO, Kengo Suzuki, will participate as a panelist in the talk session at the 'Designing Life Under Different Gravity' exhibition, hosted by the General Incorporated Association EX Gravity (July 21, 2026 (Tue) / Venue: Orqudor Salon Aoyama, Minami-Aoyama, Minato-ku, Tokyo). The exhibition aims to rethink life on Earth through thought experiments on designing lifestyles and cultures in microgravity environments. SS-HD, which has adopted the mission of 'making science fiction non-fiction,' views this participation as an opportunity to communicate its efforts to conceptualize life in space through research conducted on Earth.

Theme by CEO Kengo Suzuki — Conceptualizing Life in Space Through Earth-Based Research
SS-HD is advancing its business as a space-focused deep tech venture builder with space utilization research at its core. Its main business pillars are in the fields of 'space × healthcare' and 'space × manufacturing.' Additionally, through its subsidiary Regenesome Inc., the company is engaged in longevity (healthspan) research aimed at addressing bodily changes associated with aging.
The exhibition's theme of 'designing life under different gravity' aligns with SS-HD's long-term vision of 'preemptively developing on Earth the technologies necessary for humans to live in space.' During the talk session, Mr. Suzuki will discuss with other panelists how research in fermentation and medicine can connect to life in space, and how envisioning space living can prompt a re-evaluation of life on Earth.
Vision for Life in Microgravity and SS-HD's Two Key Development Areas
The envisioned lifestyles and cultures in microgravity environments depicted in the exhibition overlap with the future visions targeted by SS-HD's two ongoing development areas.
The first is 'space × healthcare.' Regenesome Inc., a subsidiary of SS-HD, is developing nanoparticles capable of delivering active ingredients to the brain and is conducting joint research with Tokyo University of Science to overcome the blood-brain barrier (BBB). In environments with altered gravity, ensuring the health of brain and other bodily functions is an unavoidable challenge. SS-HD is advancing development through longevity research to provide solutions to these challenges.
The second is 'space × manufacturing.' SS-HD has independently developed a Materials Informatics (MI) exploration system that uses machine learning to select viable material candidates for actual production (announced in June 2026) and has filed related foundational patents. Furthermore, the company has jointly filed patents for foundational technologies supporting autonomous experiments in space environments. These technologies are intended to serve as a foundation for material development and experimentation not only on Earth but also in the space environment.
Under the slogan 'aiming for space through research support,' SS-HD is linking these two development areas to its long-term goal of establishing on Earth the technologies necessary for humanity to live in space by 2040. At this exhibition, Mr. Suzuki will discuss how the vision for life in microgravity aligns with the future envisioned by these developments, elaborating on the company's mission of 'making science fiction non-fiction.'
Statement by CEO Kengo Suzuki
'When gravity changes, everything from eating to maintaining health to the very shape of daily life changes. We are striving to demonstrate technologies that enable people to live healthily in any environment, both on Earth and in space.
Imagining life in space is also an opportunity to re-examine the everyday life on Earth that we once took for granted. I look forward to discussing life under different gravity with fellow panelists from diverse fields at this exhibition. I hope this will be a time to expand our imagination toward our mission of making science fiction non-fiction.'
