About the Tamagoyaki / Dash Broth Himawari Brand

Started in November 1989 as "Kyosabo Himawari," a shop where customers could enjoy a relaxing break while shopping, located on the 3rd floor of the Izumiya Shirabai-cho store near Kyoto Kitano Tenmangu Shrine. The signature dish, Tamagoyaki (Akashi-yaki), is made with the authentic taste of Akashi, using plenty of fresh eggs in the batter, carefully selected flour and jinnko (a type of starch), and dashi broth made from Katsuobushi from Kyushu and Kombu from Hokkaido. It is grilled to order on a specially made copper plate with high thermal conductivity, resulting in a fluffy, melt-in-your-mouth texture.

With the concept of "Coloring Your Life," we are committed to "freshly grilled Tamagoyaki (Akashi-yaki)" and "dashi broth carefully prepared in our stores every day." We renewed the store in 2022 to become a place where customers can feel small moments of happiness in their daily lives by enjoying delicious meals little by little.
