S.RIDE Inc. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Yohei Hashimoto; hereinafter referred to as S.RIDE) and Skylark Holdings Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Musashino-shi, Tokyo; Chairman and CEO: Makoto Tani; hereinafter referred to as Skylark) will launch a dining discount program for drivers of S.RIDE partnered taxi operators on July 1, 2026, with the aim of supporting taxi drivers' rest and meals.
This program will provide eligible drivers with special coupons offering discounts on food and beverages at Skylark Group restaurants. The initiative aims to support the rest and meals of taxi drivers who support daily operations, while also promoting store usage during less busy periods, known as "idle times," thereby achieving both driver support and store revitalization.
Focusing on Taxi Drivers' Meal and Rest Needs and Utilizing Restaurants' Idle Times
Through its taxi app "S.RIDE®," S.RIDE has been working to improve user convenience, as well as to enhance dispatch efficiency and service value for drivers of S.RIDE partnered taxi operators. In recent years, the importance of creating a better working environment for taxi drivers and providing added value to drivers by affiliated operators has been increasing.
Meanwhile, the Skylark Group operates approximately 3,100 restaurant locations nationwide as a restaurant chain deeply rooted in local communities. With many roadside stores and ample parking, the group has a store network that is easily accessible to taxi drivers who travel through various regions daily.
Taxi drivers often take their lunch breaks and rest during idle times (2:00 PM to 5:00 PM), which are outside of peak hours. For restaurants, they are seen as a new customer segment during these relatively less busy periods.
Against this backdrop, both companies are launching this program to support the daily meals and rest of taxi drivers, and to promote store usage during periods that tend to be less busy. Skylark will provide discount coupons to eligible drivers, and S.RIDE will handle guidance and rollout to drivers through its affiliated taxi operators.
By combining support for drivers' daily meals and rest with the utilization of Skylark Group's idle times, the goal is to achieve both the provision of added value for drivers and the promotion of store usage.
